UFC 251 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fifth episode for this weekend’s big show on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off at Yas Island Marina Circuit, where Alex Volkanovski gets to drive around in some fast cars. He’s a little scared, but he’s still doing it. They then do some drifting which is even scarier. Seems like a very cool experience.
Jose Aldo is in his room, watching sports. He and Andre Pederneiras talk about their admiration for Abu Dhabi, who places so much emphasis on sports and getting children into it from a young ago. Aldo firmly believes there will be an Arab world champion in MMA because of this.
Paige VanZant is jumping rope on the patio of her room. She then comes in and does some grappling with her team. Rose Namajunas gets checked out by a chiropractor. Pat Barry says they were finally allowed out of the hotel yesterday, but only made it two blocks before the heat made them turn back. He also talks about the coach/mentor relationship.
Jorge Masvidal plays some sort of handball game with his teammates. He says Usman is weak-minded and fighting him on short notice is good for him. He thinks people are counting him out, and it will be a very good feeling to walk out with the title.
And that’s it! UFC 251 goes down Saturday night in Abu Dhabi.
