What have these two done recently?

Just three weeks ago, Tony Ferguson was weighing in at 155-pounds for a fight that was already cancelled. “El Cucuy” was supposed to fight UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 249’s original date on April 18th, however the entire event was cancelled despite the promotion’s best efforts to keep it alive. Ferguson enters the fight against Gaethje on a 12-fight winning streak, with three finishes in his last three fights.

Justin Gaethje looked to be heading down a dangerous path following his two violent stoppage losses to Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier. The man known as “The Highlight” for his extremely aggressive fight style has silenced his critics in his last three fights, winning all three by first-round stoppage, Knocking out Edson Barboza and James Vick, Gaethje stopped Donald Cerrone in his most recent fight last September.

Why should you care?

Both men’s constant forward pressure means this title fight is bound to not disappoint.
