A significant working relationship between two European promotions has been established, and sees prospect Mateusz Legierski, able to ply his trade in both companies.

Legierski (6-0) is the current lightweight champion of Oktagon MMA, the largest Czech-Slovak organisation in the sport, who have pulled some impressive attendances (15k+) recently. It was announced in a tweet from KSW on Monday morning that the undefeated fighter had joined them and would compete for the pair of promotions going forwards.

‘Dynamit’ made his professional debut in September 2018 after a lengthy run as an amateur and has stayed active ever since. A month after registering his first win, Legierski moved to 2-0 before signing with Oktagon MMA. He picked up three consecutive stoppage victories in the promotion which was enough to earn him a shot at the lightweight belt. In February, he defeated twenty-eight fight veteran, Miroslav Strbak, by split decision to win the gold in a contest where he heard the final bell for the first time in his professional career.

This news comes off the back of KSW announcing last week that FEN welterweight and middleweight champion, Andrzej Grzebyk, had signed a deal with the promotion. In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, KSW CEO Martin Lewandowski revealed that the company are close to confirming their next card amid the current global pandemic.
