Jon Jones once again got himself in trouble with the law late last month when he was arrested for DWI and negligent use of a firearm. As seen in a police body cam footage that recently surfaced, a half-empty bottle of Jorge Masvidal’s Recuerdo Mezcal and a handgun were found inside the UFC light heavyweight champion’s vehicle on the early hours of March 26 in Albuquerque.
The 32-year-old fighter was taken into custody after failing sobriety tests conducted by responding police officers. Jones was eventually released and later pled guilty to the DWI charge, for which he was required to undergo a minimum of 90 days of outpatient treatment as well as 96 hours in a community custody program.
But even through these repeated wrongdoings, “Bones” has managed to see the positive side of things. For him, such mistakes do not define his entire personality.
Yes, I guess my character gets too drunk when he drinks. I’m not going to allow that to outweigh all the awesome things about myself. Some people only focus on what they want I guess. I focus on my good traits, that’s probably the reason why I thrive every year https://t.co/2z6R8ebz42— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) April 13, 2020
Jones also interacted more with fans about the topic:
You tell me not to mess it up, then you tell me you love everything I do. Now You’re just confusing me https://t.co/g2IUHnKcg3— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) April 13, 2020

Jones also admitted to having an “unhealthy relationship with alcohol,” which he promises to resolve.
