UFC 248 results: Beneil Dariush knocks out Drakkar Klose in crazy back-and-forth exchange

Beneil Dariush wildly knocked out Drakkar Klose in the second round on the UFC 248 PPV main card.

UFC 248 continues with surging lightweights, and Beneil Dariush just knocked out Drakkar Klose cold in the second round. Dariush took the back standing for the bulk of the opening act, but Klose did a solid job of defending. Come the second act, Klose rocked Dariush with a right hand, but got hurt himself when he went in for the kill. Dariush put Klose on skates and then unloaded a brutal left hand to get the knockout. What a sequence of events! The former ranked lightweight came in riding a three-fight winning streak, and could very well get a ranked opponent in his next outing.

Klose started hot, looking to launch a powerful right hand. Dariush closed the distance and began to grapple. He took the back standing up with a body triangle, and immediately started hunting for an RNC. Klose defended well, forcing Dariush to make adjustments and use his legs to maintain the position. Dariush held the position until the bell.

Klose worked his leg kicks to open the second round. When Dariush looked to come forward, Klose rocked him with a heater of a right hand. Klose went in for the kill, but Dariush clipped him with a hard shot of his own that put Klose on skates. Then, they started to trade! Dariush uncorked a monstrous left hand that knocked out Klose on impact. There was no need for any followup.
