UFC 248 happens this weekend, and it will be topped by two intriguing title bouts. In the headliner, Israel Adesanya will try to defend his middleweight title against Yoel Romero, while in the co-feature, 115 lb champion Weili Zhang will collide with former strawweight queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Before those two championship fights — and the rest of the card — are made official, they first have to tip the scales on their contracted weights. The only drama on the scales today was Yoel Romero waiting until the last 20 minutes to hit the championship 185 lb limit. Everyone else, other than prelim fighter Emily Whitmire, hit their target weights.
