UFC 256 loses two more fights to COVID-19 positives

New, comments

UFC 256 is down to just ten fights.

Dwight Grant, UFC 256, COVID-19 Cancellations, Li Jingliang, Karl Roberson, Dalcha Lungiambula, Angela Hill, Tecia Torres

UFC 256 has been ravaged due to COVID-19 and other issues and this Saturday’s pay-per-view has taken two more hits.

Welterweight Dwight Grant confirmed on his Instagram page that he tested positive for COVID-19 and will no longer be fighting Li Jingliang this Saturday. It’s not yet known whether Jingliang will remain on the card. Middleweight Karl Roberson also contracted the virus, but his fight with Dalcha Lungiambula has been moved to UFC Vegas 17 on December 19th. These two stories follow Angela Hill confirming she’s out of her rematch with Tecia Torres for the same reason.

If no replacements are found to fight Torres and Jingliang respectively, then UFC 256 will only have ten fights.

Here’s the updated lineup. Once again, the card is subject to change.
