UFC fighter rankings: Only three divisions see any movement

New, comment

The string of largely irrelevant UFC cards has continued.

MMA: UFC Fight Night-Smith vs Teixeira Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

With a decent main event being scuttled by Covid just hours before the show, UFC Vegas 15 went from a one-fight show to a no-fight show. Anthony Smith ended up taking a nice win over Devin Clark in the new headliner, but it did nothing to help him in the rankings since Clark wasn’t anywhere near them.

In fact, there were only very minor changes in a total of three divisions, and a grand total of two fighters actually moved up this week. Yeah, that’s how irrelevant this show was.

Here’s a (short) look at this week’s changes.

Men’s P4P - No changes.

Heavyweight - No changes.

Light Heavyweight - Volkan Oezdemir drops from a tie for seven with Smith to take over eight on his own.

Middleweight - No changes.

Welterweight - No changes.

Lightweight - Charles Oliveira drops from a tie for six to take seven over on his own ahead of his fight with Tony Ferguson.

Featherweight - No changes.

Bantamweight - No changes.

Flyweight - Rogerio Bontorin is up one spot into a tie for seven with Kai Kara-France. Tyson Nam and Jordan Espinosa flip-flop the 13 and 14 spots.

Women’s P4P - No changes.

Women’s Bantamweight - No changes.

Women’s Flyweight - No changes.

Women’s Strawweight - No changes.
