The main event of UFC Vegas 12 was the setting where the promotion’s #10 ranked middleweight, Uriah Hall, took out the legendary Anderson Silva in the fourth round. It was a counter punch that dropped Silva, and a barrage of ground strikes is what brought the fight to a close. There were plenty of moments of feinting and measuring, but we also got some pretty cool techniques and wow-moments. Silva was aggressive early, and then Hall scored a knockdown at the end of the third round, before ultimately finding the finish in the fourth. This makes three straight wins for Hall, and for Silva, he was unclear as to whether or not this was it for him.
Check out Tim Burke’s play-by-play of Uriah Hall’s finish of Anderson Silva:
Jab from Hall. Silva returns one. Anderson jumps in on a feinted combo but gets dropped with a counter! Hall flurries and it’s over! WHOA!
