Jordan Mein (31-12) has found a new home at Bellator MMA.

Initially reported by Aaron Bronsteter of TSN and later confirmed by MMA Fighting — the 30-year-old has signed an exclusive, multi fight deal with the California based promotion.

Mein, who at his relatively young age is considered a veteran of the sport after 43 professional bouts, began his career at the tender age of 16, with his first opponent being none other than fellow countryman: Rory MacDonald.

‘Young Gun’ briefly retired at the age of 25, citing his lack of desire to compete at the highest levels. However, the “itch” to fight never fully left and Mein returned to face Emil Weber Meek at UFC 206.

Mein, who will presumably compete in Bellator MMA’s welterweight roster, is coming off two straight victories in the UFC. He boasts wins over Mike Pyle, Erick Silva and, most recently, Alex Morono at UFC on Fox 30.

A bout has not been announced for his debut. However, popular Bellator household names such as Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Lorenz Larkin could be potential opponents.
