CM Punk won’t be returning to MMA anytime soon, at least not for a proposed ‘money’ fight against YouTube star Logan Paul.
Paul, who has over 20 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, called out Punk — real name Phil Brooks — after he dropped a split decision loss to KSI in the boxing ring last year.
“I am (open to fighting CM Punk). I think I would destroy CM Punk if I’m being honest. I don’t know if anyone would disagree with that. He lost all (his UFC fights). I know I can take him.”
Punk, however, who went 0-2 in the UFC during his short stint in the promotion from 2016-2018, has absolutely no interest in the matchup.
“No,” Punk told TMZ Sports (h/t BJPenn.com) when asked about a possible MMA fight against Paul. “My definition of big money and everybody else’s definition of big money is completely different.”
Punk hasn’t fought in MMA since his lackluster decision loss to Mike Jackson at UFC 225 but the 41-year-old serves as a commentator for Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) and is still a huge fan of the sport.
