Stevenson, who placed third at the 2019 NCAA Championships as a freshman and recently qualified for the Olympic Trials, also took to social media about the workout.
Lesnar, 42, retired (again) from mixed martial arts in 2019, despite teasing a UFC comeback for a while. The former UFC heavyweight champion last fought back in 2016, and if seeing these training posts makes you think he’s teasing another comeback, he actually isn’t.
He returned to University of Minnesota as the Gopher’s wrestling program celebrated the 20th anniversary of Lesnar’s NCAA Division I heavyweight title in 2000. Lesnar also served as an honorary coach on Friday, with Stevenson and the rest of the Gophers picking up the victory.
In two seasons of collegiate wrestling with Minnesota, Lesnar compiled a record of 55-3. After becoming a WWE superstar, he transitioned to mixed martial arts, where he had a two year UFC title reign from 2008-2010.
