Another week, another UFC event. UFC China delivered a new champion, and some decent action. This didn’t translate to much change in the rankings though.

One interesting development unrelated to the event is the continuing rise of Nate Diaz. After not fighting for three years, Diaz came back at 170 and picked up a convincing win over Anthony Pettis a few weeks ago. He was quickly inserted into the welterweight rankings, and has steadily risen since then. With Darren Till’s impending move to middleweight, Diaz is now among the top six contenders in the division.

Here’s a look at the few moves in the rankings this week.

P4P - Israel Adesanya is in at 15.

Heavyweight - No changes.

Light Heavyweight - No changes.

Middleweight - No changes.

Welterweight - Diaz is up to six, bumping Till to seven. Vicente Luque is up one to 14. Neil Magny is back in at 15.

Lightweight - No changes.

Featherweight - No changes.

Bantamweight - Raphael Assuncao is up one into a tie for four with Petr Yan.

Flyweight - Kai Kara France’s win over Mark De La Rosa led him to rise three spots into a tie for seven with Rogerio Bontorin. Brandon Moreno drops one spot to nine. Matt Schnell is down one ot ten.

Women’s Bantamweight - No changes.

Women’s Flyweight - No changes.

Women’s Strawweight - Weili Zhang is now the champ, stopping Jessica Andrade in no time. Andrade is now the number one contender. Rose Namajunas, Tatiana Suarez, Nina Ansaroff, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, and Claudia Gadelha all fell one spot each to two through six respectively.
