The top of the UFC 241 PPV main card just witnessed Stipe Miocic get his heavyweight belt back by stopping Daniel Cormier with strikes in the fourth round. The bout was back and forth with each man landing quality strikes, but Miocic started to aggressively attack the body in the fourth frame, which ultimately opened up the head which led to the finish. The series between the two is now tied at 1-1, but as for Cormier, his future as a professional fighter is up in the air. So, who will be next for Miocic?

The big men hesitantly exchanged leg kicks to open the bout. Cormier started looping his punches, finding success. He then shot in, lifting Miocic over his head and slamming him down to the canvas like a sack of potatoes. DC took top position and chipped away from inside of the full guard of the former champ. Miocic scrambled back too his feet but ate a plethora of strikes along the way.

Miocic got his straight punches going in the second act, but Cormier walked through them to land his own strikes. The punches of Miocic kept landing and so did those thrown by DC. Back and forth they went, taking turns punching each other in the face with both men standing strong at the end of the round. The third round began with a stiff one-two from Miocic. The left hand of DC started to land and hurt Miocic, causing him to wince. The former champ clinched up and secured a takedown on Cormier, albeit short-lived. DC pushed the pace behind his punches, landing a bunch of volume before the bell.

Miocic pressed forward in the fourth frame, but wasn’t throwing a ton of strikes. He then started to attack the midsection. Miocic landed a set of thudding body shots that got the attention of the defending champion. Cormier bounced back with some quick punches to the head, but Miocic kept up with the body punches. Then, Miocic went upstairs and rocked Cormier. He flew in with ground strikes and the referee called off the fight.
