The co-main event for UFC 239 involved Amanda Nunes catching former bantamweight champ Holly Holm with a head kick in the opening round to get the TKO finish and retain her title.

The fighters met in the center of the Octagon with Holm using her kicks to stay at range. Nunes hit a brief takedown, but Holm was quick to stand back up. A big punch caught the attention of Holm, but she recovered quickly and got back in it. Then, a counter head kick from Nunes sent Holm crashing to the canvas. Holm was dazed and a followup barrage of punches from Nunes made it official. The referee had to stop it.

Nunes has now defeated every single woman to ever hold the UFC women’s bantamweight belt. She has now cemented herself as the female G.O.A.T. with her biggest obstacle being who to face next.
