The UFC 239 PPV main card just exploded when the company’s #4 ranked welterweight Jorge Masvidal set the UFC record for fastest knockout ever when he blasted the #5 ranked Ben Askren with a flying knee to end the fight in just five seconds. This is an instant contender for Knockout of the Year, if not ever.

As soon as the bout started, Masvidal ran across the Octagon and instantly threw a flying knee that hit like a nuclear bomb. Askren was unconscious on impact and hit the ground. Masvidal came in with a series of unblocked punches before the referee had a chance to come in and pull him off of Askren.

The bad blood between the two was evident when Masvidal mocked Askren, who was down for quite some time. Askren came in undefeated and took his first loss in one of the most devastating ways possible. There should be a title shot with Masvidal’s name on it.
