The growing trend on social media these days seems to be the bottle cap challenge. While I’m not quite sure about its origin and purpose, I thought this would be good chance to bring back this old BE feature to round up the online frenzy about it.
So on this limited revival of How’s Taste My Tweet Tweet?, we look at Max Holloway, who seems to be on the forefront of this challenge. The UFC champion threw perfectly placed spinning kick after being challenged by fashion designer Errolson Hugh. His son, Mini-Blessed also completed it.
Be curious my friends! #challengeaccepted #bottlecapchallenge Passing this on to our guy @JohnMayer …. hey John if you can’t complete this challenge @erlsn and I decided you have to come to Hawaii after your tour and kick it with us until you complete it! ⚡ pic.twitter.com/gLWn0dpOzV— Max Holloway (@BlessedMMA) June 28, 2019
Holloway in turn challenged musician John Mayer, who also aced it and brought this whole thing to a much wider audience.
A couple of other fighters saw these videos, and reacted in their own way.
After seeing the @blessedmma challenge I not only decided to give it a go, but to raise the bar in opening a @monsterenergy can .— John Wayne Parr (@johnwayneparr) July 1, 2019
Sorry Max. I remember the first time I threw a spinning kick . #monsterenergy #bottlecapchallenge #shitjustgotreal pic.twitter.com/020oJaLTTt
Yeah. I would attempt it but last time I threw a spinning back kick I lost my world title ♂️. https://t.co/Ygz2i9JHfR— Chris Weidman (@chrisweidman) June 29, 2019
