It’s fight day for UFC Minneapolis and Bloody Elbow has the betting lines!
The top of the billing will see a top-tier heavyweight showdown between the #2 ranked Francis Ngannou and the former champion Junior dos Santos.
Former title challenger Ngannou is strongly favored here with a moneyline of -215. The #3 ranked heavyweight JDS comes in as a +195 betting underdog. The over/under for this 25-minute main event matchup has been set at 1.5 rounds. The ‘under’ owns the favored role with a moneyline of -142, with a +127 comeback on the ‘over.’ The oddsmakers and betting public alike do not foresee this one going the distance. Since first opening up with a substantial favored line of -405, the prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ now sits with an even more favored line of -610. ‘Fight goes to decision’ can be scooped at a heavy underdog mark of +425.
Ngannou is the fighter that is projected to cause this bout to end early. ‘Ngannou wins inside distance’ is available at a favored mark of -195, with ‘Not Ngannou inside distance’ at +160. ‘Santos wins inside distance’ is on deck at +270, with ‘Not Santos inside distance’ at -360. Going one step further, ‘Ngannou wins by TKO/KO’ owns a favored line of -175, with ‘Any other result’ at +135. On the other side of the coin, ‘Santos wins by TKO/KO’ is available at +320, with ‘Any other result’ at -460.
In the co-main event slot for UFC Minneapolis, the top of a dwindling flyweight division will be showcased when the #1 ranked Jussier Formiga meets the #2 ranked Joseph Benavidez... for the second time.
Just like the first time they crossed paths (UFC Fight Night 28 in 2013), Benavidez is the betting favorite here. Benavidez can be grabbed up at a betting line of -145, with a +135 comeback on Formiga. Their first matchup was won by Benavidez who scored a first-round knockout. The over/under for this flyweight fight has been set at 2.5 rounds. The ‘over’ is strongly favored with a moneyline of -270, with the ‘under’ resting at +230. The betting lines say that this one will be going the distance. ‘Fight goes to decision’ rogers up with a favored line of -225, with ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ at +175.
