UFC 237 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fifth episode for this weekend’s big show in Brazil, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Clay Guida joins in on Rose Namajunas’ hackey sack game. Trevor Wittman talks about what it’s like after a long trip. B.J Penn makes his first appearance and does some work with Jose Aldo and his team. Aldo talks about how the fan interaction at the open workouts being so important to him.
It’s Ultimate Media Day. Jessica Andrade looks forward to the faceoff with Thug Rose. Aldo rubs a championship belt and hangs with BJ. Penn tells the media that he’s lucky to fight on such a big Brazil card. He and Clay have a fun and friendly faceoff. Aldo wants a title shot with a win, and respectfully faces off with Alexander Volkanovski.
Anderson Silva talks about representing Brazil, and Andrade’s chances against Namajunas. Jared Cannonier has respect for Silva, but he’s “only a man”. Andrade doesn’t think her fight will go the distance. Rose talks about wanting something new since she had fought Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice, and that this was definitely new.
Back in Andrade’s room, and it’s her grandma’s birthday. She’s cutting weight though. She discusses the sacrifice, but says it will be worth it when she gets to fight and win.
And that’s it! UFC 237 goes down tomorrow night in Rio.
