Crawford vs. Khan results and round by round coverage: Rounds 1-3

Tonight, follow along with Bloody Elbow for live fight night coverage of Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan. We’ll have round by round results all night. Here, rounds 1-3.

Round 1: As expected, Crawford starts slow, Khan starts fast. For about 2 minutes this is Khan’s round. And then, in the final minute, Crawford catches Khan with a counter right hand behind Khan’s lazy jab. He follows that up with a left that catches Khan and puts him down! Khan regains his feet, but he’s wobbly. He staggers through the final 30 seconds, just barely. Khan is in huge trouble already. 10-8 Crawford

Round 2: Khan still doesn’t seem to fully have his feet under him this round. He spends much of the round being hesitant and circling on the outside, while Crawford holds the center of the ring. Crawford lands one combo that seems to hurt Khan a bit, though not as dramatically as the first. 10-9 Crawford

Round 3: Khan opens the round with a nice 1-2 combo to push Crawford back. Crawford has switched to southpaw at this point, but he’s not throwing as much as Khan. He’s making Khan miss at times, but Khan’s output is much higher. Crawford does land a bit in the closing seconds, but it’s probably not enough to take a close round. 10-9 Khan
