Bellator 235 went down from the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii this past Friday night. After the main event between Josh Barnett and Ronny Markes was cancelled, the new main event saw UFC veteran, Erik Perez, take on Hawaii’s own, Toby Misech. Despite being on a five-fight winning streak at the time, Perez was shockingly knocked out in just 54 seconds by Misech. In the Bellator 235 co-main event slot, Alejandra Lara and Veta Arteaga waged war for 15-minutes. Once the dust had settled, it was Lara who walked away with the unanimous decision. Also on the card, former GP tournament contestant, Ty-wan Claxton, took a decision over Braydon Akeo, and collegiate wrestling standout, Joey Davis, stopped Chris Cisneros with strikes in the first round.
