A magnitude 6.3 earthquake hit Cotabato, and affected the other regions in Mindanao on October 16th. Before the people affected could properly recover, more huge earthquakes hit the same areas just two weeks later. A magnitude 6.6 quake happened on October 29, followed by a magnitude 6.5 on October 31.

Central Mindanao, which includes Cotabato, has several active faults in the area, which caused these successive quakes. The damage has been significant, and the quakes have caused several deaths, even more injured, and thousands displaced from their homes.

Manny Pacquiao, a boxing superstar and Philippine politician, is using his foundation to bring aid to the people affected by the quakes. The Mindanao-born fighter took to social media to raise funds for the cause.

UFC President Dana White also then pledged to help with a generous donation.

For those who want to help, you can donate to Pacquiao’s foundation linked above or this compiled list of organizations that are bringing aid to the affected areas.
