UFC 228 video: Embedded, part 4 - The calm before the storm

Check out the fourth episode of Embedded for UFC 228.

UFC 228 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s big show in the Dallas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

Obviously this was filmed and released before Nicco Montano was forced out of her title defense and Valentina Shevchenko was removed from the card.

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley does some pad work in the hotel and talks about his last trip to Dallas, which resulted in a win over Carlos Condit a few years ago. Tatiana Suarez is working out in the same room, doing her last session before the weight cut begins.

Brandon Davis is playing video games in his room with a training partner. He talks about how he got the fight with Zabit Magomedsharipov. Carla Esparza makes her first appearance, showing off her breakfast. Coach Colin Oyama has a waaay bigger breakfast than the fighter trying to cut weight. Esparza has a burner phone she uses for fight week so she doesn’t get distracted.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz makes her first appearance as well, showing off the beer in her fridge (that is for her coaches, not her). She bought sweaters for her dogs. Diego Sanchez, Aljamain Sterling, and John Dodson all make cameos. Dodson was talking to Nicco Montano. Darren Till walks right by Woodley, who is sitting down in the hallway.

It’s open workouts time. They show Shevchenko briefly, and Montano talks about the fight that won’t happen now. Boo. There are not a lot of fans there for the workouts. Till talks about all the attention for missing weight against Stephen Thompson. He’ll slap the next person who asks. He takes a pic with every fan there that wants one.

Woodley talks about Till being hungry, and the fight being personal. He points out his edge in experience.

And that’s it! UFC 228 goes down in Dallas tomorrow.
