Bellator 206 results: Rampage Jackson TKO’s Wanderlei Silva in round 2

New, comments

Rampage Jackson just stopped Wanderlei Silva to even their series 2-2 in the Bellator 206 co-main event.

Quinton Jackson and Wanderlei Silva have now fought each other a total of four times, and the Bellator 206 co-main event just witnessed “Rampage” even up the score to 2-2. Silva kept his distance to start the fight as Rampage took the center and slowly pressed forward. Rampage was able to clip his opponent, sending him stumbling backwards, but wasn’t able to follow up before Silva recovered. A couple of haymakers landed for Silva that prompted Rampage to clinch up against the cage, which was met with some boos from the crowd, but Rampage landed a huge shot with about ten seconds remaining in the round.

A brief brawl broke out to open up the second frame, with both men standing in the pocket and letting the leather fly. The pace quickly simmered, until Rampage staggered Silva with a thumping two-piece, but then the bout slowed right back down as Rampage held Silva against the cage. Back in open space, Rampage landed a right hand that dropped Silva, and then jumped all over him with ground strikes to get the finish.
