Scott Coker has some big news for Bellator fans in the UK.

The Bellator president announced Wednesday on Twitter that Bellator 206 will air live in the UK. The event will air on UK network Channel 5.

“The wait is over,” Coker wrote. “No week’s long tape-delay... LIVE!”

Until now, UK fans have not been able to watch Bellator live. Instead, events — even ones taking place in the UK — have aired on tape delay one week later.

It’s not yet clear whether future Bellator shows will also be aired live in the region.

That said, Bellator is launching a western Europe-based MMA series in 2019, which will feature six to eight shows aired live on Channel 5.

Bellator announced earlier this week that Jude Samuel will head European fighter relations, talent development and matchmaking efforts. Samuel is the former BAMMA vice president of talent relations.

Bellator 206, headlined by a superfight between defending middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi and welterweight champion Rory MacDonald, takes place Saturday (in North America) at SAP Center in San Jose, California. The card also features Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva 4 and Douglas Lima vs. Andrey Koreshkov 3, which officially launches the Bellator welterweight grand prix tournament.
