UFC 226 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the sixth episode for this weekend’s big supershow in Vegas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Everyone is preparing for the weigh-ins. Mike Perry does some talking. Michael Chiesa misses weight. He says he’s going to 170. Anthony Pettis needs the towel but makes 156. Derrick Lewis makes 264. Francis Ngannou makes it easy. 253. Daniel Cormier is at the weight he predicted, 246. Stipe Miocic is 242.5. Lighter than the challenger. Interesting.
DC talks to his family about his press conference fall from the day before. Stipe’s coaches talk him up. We get the ceremonial weigh-ins then. Pettis and Chiesa talk a bit of smack about missing weight. Chiesa makes a crack about Pettis’ next fight being in Bellator.
Lewis decided to push Ngannou for some reason. That was interesting. Cormier again has a lot to say. Stipe goes back to the regular “And still” and leaves it at that.
Another short, kinda nothing episode. It’s not the same without Max Holloway and Brian Ortega.
UFC 226 is going down in just a few short hours in Vegas.
