UFC on FOX 30 video: Jose Aldo stops Jeremy Stephens with strikes in first round

The UFC on FOX 30 co-main event just went down with Jose Aldo dropping Jeremy Stephens with a body shot, and then finishing him off with ground strikes. This was far from one-sided, as Stephens had Aldo on the ropes early, but the heart of a champion kicked in and Aldo started marching forward. Once the pain from Aldo’s body shot started to register, Jeremy had no choice but to drop down. Once the referee had seen enough ground and pound and waived off the bout.

Round 1 - Aldo misses up high with a kick. Stephens’ kick is blocked. Aldo takes a leg kick from Stephens. Aldo with the jab. Knee to the body by Lil’ Heathen. Leg kick and a hard right hand by Aldo. Another leg kick by Aldo. He evades a Stephens left hook. Aldo lands an uppercut and both men start swinging for a few seconds. Right hand by Stephens! He’s getting back into the fight. Stephens gets dropped by a vicious left hook to the body! He collapses in a heap and Aldo is looking for the finish. Aldo pouncing with ground-and-pound.
