July 28th is a big day for combat sports. Not only do we have UFC on FOX 30 and Mikey Garcia vs. Robert Easter, but also a compelling non-title heavyweight fight between Dillian Whyte (23-1, 17 KOs) and Joseph Parker (24-1, 18 KOs), with Parker looking to bounce back after losing his WBO title to Anthony Joshua back in March.

This is a big fight for both men, as Parker has hardly impressed in his recent showings, whereas Whyte is on the rise and looking to prove to doubters that he is actually a top-flight heavyweight, and not a fringe contender. Parker is the slight favorite at the moment, although fans at The O2 Arena in London will undoubtedly be backing England’s Whyte.

There is unfortunately no US coverage of this fight, so you’re on your own as far as finding a way to watch this bout. Sky Box Office has the PPV at 6 PM in the UK (1 PM ET). It’s expected that Whyte and Parker will be in the ring by 10:15 PM local time (5:15 PM ET). Undercard action includes Carlos Takam vs. Dereck Chisora in a 12-round heavyweight scrap, while Conor Benn and Cedrick Peynaud rematch in a 10-round welterweight affair, after their thrilling six-round encounter earlier this year.

You can discuss the fight and the whole card (if you want) here. For more boxing coverage, check out Bad Left Hook.

Official result: Dillian Whyte def. Joseph Parker by unanimous decision (113-112, 115-110. 114-111)

Parker knocked down in round 2 (should not have been called as such as it was a headbutt), down again in round 9.

Whyte down in round 12.
