Sage Northcutt knocked out Zak Ottow in the UFC Boise co-main event. Ottow cracked Northcutt with the first punch he threw, making the eyes of his opponent roll back for just a moment, and held him down for the bulk of the first round. Northcutt had his say in the second stanza, tagging Ottow on the feet, forcing him to fall to the floor, and then knocking him out with some savage ground and pound. Then, he did a super-cool flip.
Check out Tim Burke’s play-by-play of Sage Northcutt Zak Ottow:
Round 2 - Northcutt with two lefts and a head kick. Ottow scoops a single and gets Northcutt to his butt. Back elbows from Northcutt and he’s back up. Knee to the body and a left. Ottow shoots again. He pushes Northcutt to the cage, but gets reversed. He separates and lights up Ottow. Ottow goes down! He’s tying up Northcutt’s wrists but he gets free. Big strikes and Ottow is done!
