Daniel Cormier responds to Yoel Romero’s scathing tweet: #keepdreaming

It looks like Daniel Cormier isn’t taking the bait.

Earlier this week, two-time UFC title challenger Yoel Romero called out two-division champion Daniel Cormier for a title fight at light heavyweight.

The call-out came after Romero’s longtime manager, Malki Kawa, announced that ‘The Soldier of God’ will be moving up to 205-pounds after missing weight in back-to-back title fights at middleweight.

Romero’s co-manager, Abe Kawa, also stirred the pot on social media, claiming that Romero will be more than able to hold his own against ‘DC’ in the wrestling department.

Cormier had already turned down Romero’s offer on UFC Tonight, but the newly-crowned heavyweight champ shut the Cuban up for good on social media.

The current light heavyweight and heavyweight titleholder, referred to as the ‘champ champ’ by UFC commentator Joe Rogan, told Romero to ‘keep dreaming’ and stop allowing his manager post on his Twitter account.

Although Cormier isn’t interested in the bout, a light heavyweight title defense vs. Romero is surely more interesting, and more of a challenge, than a title bout with Shogun Rua. Outside of a Gustafsson rematch, it is the biggest fight available for Cormier at 205 lbs.

The former Olympian is expected to defend his heavyweight title against Brock Lesnar when the WWE superstar returns to the Octagon next year.
