CM Punk made his second ever MMA bout at UFC 225 against Mike Jackson, and it was basically went as everyone expected it. Both of them may have been 0-1 MMA fighters, but Jackson was the only one with actual fighting experience, and it clearly showed.
Punk was stiff, slow, and just clearly didn’t belong in there, even with the lowest level of UFC fighter they can find to match him up against. Jackson could’ve finished the fight in multiple occasions, but he simply chose not to as he calmly picked Punk apart with ease. In case it wasn’t clear before, the experiment with the former WWE champion clearly failed, and he lost a wide unanimous decision.
