The premier MMA promotion is headed to Hub City.
The UFC is set make its debut in Moncton, the largest city in New Brunswick, Canada, later this year. Officials announced the card Thursday.
The event, which takes place Oct. 27 at Moncton Events Centre, is expected to be a UFC Fight Night on FOX Sports 1 and TSN. No bouts have been announced for the card at this time.
The brand-new venue that will host the card is set to open this fall.
Dating back to 2008, Moncton will mark the 11th Canadian city the promotion has visited. The UFC has hosted 25 events in Canada; the city with the most events is Montreal (7).
UFC Moncton will be the second (and likely last) Canadian event in 2018. The UFC returns to Calgary in July for a stacked UFC on FOX 30 card featuring Eddie Alvarez vs. Dustin Poirier 2, plus Jose Aldo vs. Jeremy Stephens and Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Tecia Torres.
The most recent Canadian card was UFC on FOX 26 in Winnipeg. Rafael dos Anjos defeated Robbie Lawler in the headliner.
