Video: Dana White on Conor McGregor UFC 223 incident - ‘I don’t know if he’s on drugs or what his deal is’

Dana White says that Conor McGregor’s actions at the Barclay’s Center were “disgusting” and questions whether the former UFC champion is “on drugs.”

Moments after news broke that Conor McGregor, and an entourage that included Artem Lobov and Charlie Ward, has stormed the Barclay’s Center moments after the end of UFC 223 media day, there has been a wave of fallout regarding the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion.

After McGregor’s entourage encountered a van carrying fighters, items were thrown at the vehicle resulting in a cut to Michael Chiesa (who is scheduled to fight Anthony Pettis on Saturday night). Rose Namajunas was reportedly in the vehicle at the time and was ‘shaken up’ according to Dana White. Artem Lobov, who has an altercation with UFC 223’s headliner Khabib Nurmagomedov yesterday, has since been removed from his fight with Alex Caceres.

There are also conflicting reports that an arrest warrant has been issued for McGregor and that his plane has been grounded.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has spoken with UFC President Dana White about the incident and the chaos it has caused.

After being asked by Okamoto if he still wanted to be in business with McGregor after this incident, White said the following:

Do you want to be in business with Conor McGregor right now? Do you want to chase this guy around for interviews and buy his fights? Do you? I don’t think anybody is going to want to right now. No I think everybody’s going to be pretty disgusted with Conor McGregor right now.

Listen, you don’t like Khabib and you don’t like what happened or whatever, then fight Khabib. You can come in here and you can do it legally. Shit, this fight’s happening Saturday, we could have talked and made the Khabib fight after. You could have done whatever you wanted with Khabib within the limits of the rules of fighting.

But you want to grab thirty fucking friends and come down here and do what you did today? It’s disgusting. And I don’t think anybody is going to be huge Conor McGregor fans after this.

Okamoto then asked White why he thought any of this has happened, to which he responded:

I don’t know. I don’t know if he’s on drugs or what his deal is. But to come and do this and act like this... You’re talking about a guy who has a baby. He just had a kid. This is how you’re acting? You have a son at home. Anyway...
