UFC 222 video: Embedded, part 6 - Sean O’Malley thinks Cat Zingano is ‘hot as f—k’

Check out the sixth and final episode of Embedded for UFC 222.

UFC 222 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the sixth and final episode for this weekend’s big show in Vegas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

Sean O’Malley is dressed up all disco style for media day. As he approaches the elevator, opponent Andre Soukhamthath is waiting there. O’Malley lets Soukhamthath proceed in his own elevator and waited for the next one.

Mackenzie Dern greets Cris Cyborg. She thinks the media is going to ask her about comparisons to Ronda Rousey, which happens a lot. Brian Ortega sees his face on a billboard. O’Malley talks to Cat Zingano about walking up stairs in heels. Once he’s inside, he declares her to be “hot as f—k.”

Ortega says he wants to be the first guy to finish Frankie Edgar. Edgar says he took the short-notice fight because he’s a fighter at heart. Soukhamthath slaps O’Malley’s hand away during the staredown, not wanting to be disrespected. Ortega and Edgar are chill during their face-off. Same with Cyborg and Kunitskaya.

Ortega jokes about not looking very Mexican, wondering what genes he ended up with to be blue-eyed and light-skinned.

It’s open workouts time. Yana Kunitskaya does hers, then they show Edgar’s. Ortega has his family with him, and does the workouts with his little brother. Pretty cool.

Now it’s throwback time. B.J. Penn and Tito Ortiz talk about Cyborg, and they throw a goofy-looking mask on Penn to play a trick on her. During the open workouts, Penn runs in and tackles her. Cyborg doesn’t miss a beat - she just throws him down, gets his back, then rips the mask off and laughs when she realizes who it is. The crowd is pretty amazed too. She then quickly secures a choke, and Penn taps while laughing.

Finally, O’Malley wasn’t originally supposed to do an open workout so he was going to crash it. In the end, they give him a spot and he does a bit for the crowd. And a bit of talking.

UFC 222 goes down tonight in Vegas.
