UFC 222 video: Embedded, part 3 - ‘It’s like the Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory for fighters’

Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 222.

UFC 222 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in Vegas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

Cris Cyborg almost missed her flight to Vegas, but she’s good to go. She has her cats with her. Brian Ortega is arriving as well, around the same time. Cat Zingano makes her first appearance on the show, saying she’s on weight and ready to go. She signs some poster too.

Yana Kunitskaya talks about her beginnings in MMA, and reveals that she was actually scheduled to fight Cyborg in Strikeforce but the US Embassy denied her visa application. That’s interesting. Cyborg does some Brazilian media, talking about what it’s like to not lose for so long.

She is then asked about a matchup with Amanda Nunes. She said she didn’t want it at first, but Nunes challenged her, so she’d like to fight her in July if gets through this bout.

Kunitskaya gets her gloves and Reebok gear. Sean O’Malley is playing video games. Mackenzie Dern arrives, and discusses all the different things she has to do. She does some poster signing with Andre Soukhamthath. She tries on her gear as well.

Frankie Edgar is in Vegas and stops by the Performance Institute. He’s given a bit of a tour. Later on, Kunitskaya gets a tour too, and she thinks it’s awesome. She discusses fighting at 145 for the first time in a while.

And that’s it! UFC 222 goes down in Vegas this Saturday night.
