UFC 221 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the first episode for this weekend’s big show in Perth, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Things kick off with Luke Rockhold arriving in Perth, and makes his wrestling coach do the driving on the other side of the road...something he’s never done before. It’s not the smoothest ride ever, but they survive alive. He meets his new nutritionist for the first time, and dinner’s ready.
Yoel Romero is already situated in his Perth hotel, and talks about Rockhold just being “just a fighter”.
Curtis Blaydes in is his room watching the Super Bowl. He’s surprised that Mark Hunt was talking smack about him on social media, maybe thinking the UFC forced Hunt into taking the fight.
Hunt and his team arrive in the city, and they have a house set up for them. He jokes around with his driver a bit and they check out the house. Afterward, he drives himself to the gym and discusses fighting for 28 (!) years and how easy it is to get up for a fight.
Rockhold is now grocery shopping, and gives some nutritional tips. Bob Cook is with him, and then they both go to the gym. He then has a discussion in the sauna about being the underdog.
And that’s it! UFC 221 goes down this weekend in Perth, Australia.
