UFC 222: Cyborg vs. Kunitskaya fight card

The UFC kicks off March with a pay-per-view event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This was supposed to be featherweight champion Max Holloway defending his title against Frankie Edgar, but Holloway is injured and a new title fight is the main event, as women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg defends against Invicta FC bantamweight titleholder Yana Kunitskaya. Edgar will instead face Brian Ortega in the co-main.

Also on the main card is bantamweight prospect Sean O’Malley against Andre Soukhamthath, heavyweight veterans Stefan Struve and Andrei Arlovski, plus women’s bantamweight contenders Cat Zingano and Ketlen Vieira.

The preliminary card is topped by BJJ star and flyweight prospect Mackenzie Dern, as she makes her UFC debut against Ashley Yoder. Beneil Dariush was supposed to fight Bobby Green, but Green is injured and has been replaced by newcomer Alexander Hernandez. A rescheduled bantamweight tilt between John Dodson and Pedro Munhoz is also on FS1, as is a middleweight bout featuring C.B. Dollaway and Hector Lombard.
