UFC on FOX 28: Emmett vs. Stephens fight card

The UFC closes out February with another FOX card, this time at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Featherweight contender Josh Emmett battles Jeremy Stephens in the night’s main event, as both men look to get a title shot. The co-main event is spectacular, as Jessica Andrade and Tecia Torres square off for what is surely a #1 contender matchup at strawweight. Rounding out the main card is a light heavyweight scrap between Ilir Latifi and Ovince Saint Preux, while welterweights Mike Perry and Max Griffin will most likely be engaging in an all-out war.

While Emmett vs. Stephens may not “feel” like a big FOX main event — it’s probably better suited for FS1 — this is very much a stacked card. Former bantamweight champion Renan Barao headlines the FOX portion of the preliminary card, as he’s set to face New York’s Brian Kelleher. We also cannot get through this post without mentioning that Bloody Elbow favorite Ben Saunders will fight Alan Jouban in what should be a fun scrap.
