UFC 231 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fifth episode for this weekend’s big show in the Toronto, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Max Holloway and his son go to the Christmas Market. He talks about how much he enjoys spending time with his family, and his kid plays for the camera. Brian Ortega’s friend opens his house up to him, and he’s got all kinds of cool stuff including a pool table and a sauna.
It’s Media Day. Gunnar Nelson makes his first appearance, talking about opponent Alex Oliveira. Oliviera also gets a little screen time. Jimi Manuwa and Thiago Santos as well. Claudia Gadelha likes fighting strikers. Nina Ansaroff is ready.
Open workouts now. Joanna Jedrzejczyk is up first. She gets the crowd going. Holloway’s son is dancing on the bus and entertaining everyone. Brian Ortega brings a child on stage and the kid manages to stay on his back for 10 seconds to earn a t-shirt. He gives away more to the crowd.
Valentina Shevchenko is next. She takes pics with fans and is very confident on the mic - as usual. Holloway then takes the stage and does his workout. Then his son gets up and dances for the whole crowd.
And that’s it! UFC 231 goes down in less than 24 hours in the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
