Jon Jones might very well have celebrated his UFC 232 victory over Alexander Gustafsson with some Irish whiskey, as it was reported by Yahoo’s Kevin Iole that former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor gifted ‘Bones’ with his very own brand of Proper No. Twelve ahead of Saturday’s main event at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
McGregor confirmed the gift when a fan criticised him on Twitter, but the Irishman deleted his Tweet shortly after.

McGregor, 30, is awaiting a disciplinary with the Nevada Athletic Commission over his involvement in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl at T-Mobile Arena. ‘The Notorious’ took on Khabib Nurmagomedov in the blockbuster main event but lost via fourth-round submission. McGregor is expected to return against another top contender before he secures a rematch against Khabib.
Jones, 31, returned to the Octagon after a 15-month suspension and TKO’d Gustafsson in the third round of the UFC 232 main event to capture the vacant light heavyweight title. Jones recently tested positive for trace amounts of Turinabol but has avoided a suspension.
