UFC 231 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the first episode for this weekend’s big show in the Toronto, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Things start off with flyweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko. She talks about her long career as a Muay Thai fighter and her three bouts under MT rules against Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Things switch over to Joanna in Florida, and discusses her camp. She says she suffered no injuries and she’s ready to make history once again. They show some workout footage at ATT.
They quickly go back to Shevchenko, who is at the TUF 28 Finale to support her sister.
We head up to Canada where featherweight champ Max Holloway is clowning around with his team in the snow at a resort. They’re clearly having a great time. Back in Florida, Joanna drives through an animal safari park. She says it’s good to do things that get her mind off the fight now and again. A rhino chases them in their car, which is kind of crazy.
Now we’re off to Cali, and the Black House gym. Brian Ortega thanks his team for their support. His dad makes tacos for the whole team. He treats his team like a family, and it shows.
And that’s it! UFC 231 goes down Saturday night in Toronto.
