The final UFC event of the 2018 calendar year is this weekend. Bloody Elbow is here to bring you the UFC 232 betting odds. The light heavyweight title will be on the line in the main event when Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson run it back. As expected, Jones is quite the betting favorite, sporting a moneyline of around -255. Gustafsson is sitting in the underdog spot at about the +235 mark.
Jones opened up as a -278 favorite and dropped as low as -320 at one point. But after testing positive for Turinabol and causing the entire UFC 232 card to be moved to California, the betting line closed up a bit. Gustafsson opened up as a +200 underdog, and even reached as high as +260. The recent activity on the side of Gustafsson has dropped his value down to where it now resides.
Let’s take a look at the betting odds from their epic first encounter from UFC back in 2013. Jones was massively favored with a line of -875, with Gustafsson clocking in as a huge underdog at +600. Jones won the war of attrition by unanimous decision.
The over/under for the main event rematch has been set at 4.5 rounds. Both carry a favored line, with the ‘over’ being more favored at -115 and the ‘under’ tagging up at -105. The oddsmakers see this rematch ending early. ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ is favored at -120, with ‘Fight goes to decision’ hanging out at an underdog line of +100.
In the UFC 232 co-main event slot, Cris Cyborg (-250) looks to defend her featherweight belt against the promotion’s bantamweight champ Amanda Nunes (+230). Cyborg finds herself in a tighter line than she is accustomed to. Most of her bouts involve her being a super favorite, but Nunes is being shown some respect by the betters in this champion vs. champion matchup.
Although Nunes is getting some relative respect in the moneyline department, the bookies still have her getting finished inside the distance. Cyborg inside the distance can be found at a favored line of -125. Nunes inside the distance clocks in at a hefty +437.
The prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ is strongly favored at -180. “Fight goes to decision’ can be snatched up at +150. The over/under for this featherweight title fight has been marked at 2.5 rounds. The ‘over’ can be scooped up at a favored line of -160 with the ‘under’ rocking an underdog label of +140.
The UFC 232 main card will air live on Pay-Per-View at 10:00 P.M. ET with the prelims starting at 8:00 P.M. ET on FS1. The exclusive Fight Pass prelims will begin at 6:15 P.M. ET.
