In the co-main event on PBC on Fox Charlo vs. Korobov, Jermell Charlo suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Tony Harrison, losing both his WBC Light Middleweight title and his undefeated record.

While Charlo losing is a shock, the biggest shock is the score cards. Heading into the decision, it seemed clear that Charlo had won the fight. He landed the better punches, hurt Harrison more and looked to control the majority of the rounds. When it was announced that it was a unanimous decision and the scores were read, a Charlo win seemed like a lock. But no, it was Tony Harrison who picked up the unanimous decision and the title.

The decision was met by boos and tremendous surprise. Charlo was shocked, the announcers were shocked, Jarrett Hurd said he was shocked. People complain a lot about boxing decisions, and for good reason, but this one was bad. Really bad. It’s a tough decision to justify in any way.

Here is a look at the awkward and heated exchange between the two men post-fight:

With that, Charlo’s record drops down to 31-1. Harrison is now 28-2 and holds his first major world title. With that kind of result, it’s hard to know what exactly happens next. In all likelihood, it’s an immediate rematch for both. But both men have their eyes on Hurd and (for Harrison now) a unification fight at 154 pounds. But all of that is in the future. For now, we are left with a terrible decision - one of the worst in recent years, and one that likely won’t soon be forgotten.
