Josh Warrington (28-0, 6 KOs) defended his IBF featherweight title with a thrilling unanimous decision over Carl Frampton (26-2, 15 KOs) in front of a raucous crowd at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Leeds’ Warrington came in as the underdog, but he put in one hell of an effort by swarming the Northern Irish star with a slew of combination punches, high-octane flurries to the head and body, and a relentless pace.
Bloody Elbow scored the fight 116-112 Warrington, in line with two judges who had it 116-112, while the other judge had it 116-113 in favor of the champion.
