UFC on Fox: Lee vs. Iaquinta 2 live results, discussion, play by play

Live, blow-by-blow updates for today’s UFC event in Mlwaukee, which features a lightweight contender fight as the headliner.

Join us today on Bloody Elbow for live results, discussion, round scoring, and play-by-play for UFC on FOX 31, which goes down in Milwaukee, WI.

The headliner will take place in the lightweight division, where Al Iaquinta and Kevin Lee will renew hostilities in a rematch.

Live results and play-by-play will commence early, as is traditional with Fox cards, with the Fight Pass broadcast at 4pm ET/1pm PT. After two fights on the streaming network, the show will move to FS1 for six fights at 5pm ET/2pm PT. Then it’s main card time on big Fox at 8pm ET/5pm PT for four fights.

Kevin Lee vs. Al Iaquinta

Round 1 - Lee has a front kick caught. Iaquinta tries to grab an ankle. Iaquinta lands a body kick as soon as Lee switches stances. Iaquinta grabs an ankle again, then hit a spinning back fist! That was cool! Counter right from Iaquinta. Couple of jabs from Lee, and a body shot. Body kick from Lee. Nice left from Iaquinta, and he digs to the body now. Snap head kick from Lee is blocked. Lee with the quick left. Two lefts from Ragin’ Al. Iaquinta gets a left through that got Lee’s attention. They both land hard rights. Jab from Iaquinta. Outside leg kick from Lee. Iaquinta grabs a leg and lands a left. 10-9 Iaquinta.

Round 2 - Lee with a right over the top. Inside leg kick from Iaquinta. Lee dives on a leg, then gets a body lock takedown. He gets around onto Iaquinta’s back and secures a body triangle. Big hammerfists from Lee. Hand fighting. Iaquinta spins out with two minutes to go. Right over the top from Al. Jab. Body shot. Outside leg kick from Lee. More body work from Iaquinta. Back to the jab. Lee with a looping right hook. Iaquinta with one of his own. 10-9 Lee.

Round 3 - Lee with an outside leg kick. They trade low kicks. Iaquinta with a beautiful counter left hook. Lee pops his opponent with his own counter and a body kick though. Knee up the middle from Lee just misses. Iaquinta with two more rights. Another counter gets over the top for Al. He runs in on a single, then lands a left. Lee gets an immediate double leg takedown. Iaquinta gets over to the fence. Iaquinta is on his feet but Lee still has a body lock. Lee manages to pull him away, throw him down, take his back, and secure that body triangle again. He’s looking for a choke with a minute to go. They spend the rest of the round there. 10-9 Lee.

Round 4 - Lee snaps a head kick that’s blocked. Iaquinta with a hard right that backs Lee off. Anther. Lee could be a little wobbled. He definitely is. Iaquinta is stalking him. Uppercut and a right hook. Straight right. Lee with an elbow. Head kick from Iaquinta! Low kick. Lee with the jab. They trade low kicks. Iaquinta rips the body halfway through the round. Another right scores and Lee’s face is visibly damaged. Head kick from Lee. And a body kick. Inside leg kick from Iaquinta. Left over the top. Iaquinta sticks the right once more. 10-9 Iaquinta.

Round 5 - Lee with a right. Iaquinta lands a glancing one. Lee shoots in on a leg. They scramble like crazy on the ground and back to the feet. But Lee still has a single leg. Iaquinta is fighting it off. They’ve stalemated. Still battling. Lee has a leg grapevined. Iaquinta is fighting his hands. They separate. That was huge for Iaquinta. Jab from Iaquinta. Another. Left over the top from Lee. He lands a head kick! Iaquinta just eats it and fires back with a combo. Still anyone’s fight. lee with a left. Iaquinta with a huge combo and Lee is hurt! He circles away. Lee with a body kick. One minute to go. Iaquinta with a right over the top. Lee fires back. Al sticks the left. Huge right from Al! It’s on! Another! Lee is wobbly. Front kick to the chin from Iaquinta! Body kick! MASSIVE right hook! Al Iaquinta is awesome! 10-9 and 48-47 Iaquinta.

Edson Barboza vs. Daniel Hooker

Round 1 - Hooker with a body kick right away. Barboza returns it. Hooker kicking more early. Barboza kicking harder. Straight left for Hooker. Inside leg kicks from Barboza. Body shot from Hooker. Hooker fakes a takedown attempt but ate a right from Barboza. Hard body and inside leg kick from Barboza. Barboza with a right hook over the top. Hooker returns it. Good lead left from Hooker. Counter right from Barboza stuns Hooker! He’s firing back but that definitely wobbled him for a few seconds. Barboza with a knee and a jump knee! Two right hooks! Barboza misses with a crazy spinning wheel kick. Hard inside leg kick. Again. That may have buckled Hooker’s knee right at the end of the round. Wow, that was intense. 10-9 Barboza.

Round 2 - Right back to the inside leg kick and Hooker is definitely compromised. Hooker changes stances. Barboza just beating up the other leg. They trade hands inside. Knees from Barboza. Hooker lands two rights. Another knee from Barboza. Barboza slowing down a bit. They both miss and Hooker ends up taking him down. Barboza tries to get away but Hooker is in his half guard. Barboza uses butterflies to push Hooker off and get up with 2:20 to go. They both land hard shots! Huge left from Barboza! Body kick Misses with the spinning kick. Body and huge left hook. I have no idea how Hooker is still standing. Barboza had totally stopped kicking. Great left and an uppercut. Body work. Clubbing body kick. More lefts. Hooker has a ton of heart to still be in there. Right over the top and Hooker almost goes down. Somehow Hooker survives the round. 10-8 Barboza.

Round 3 - The doctor talked to Hooker and deemed him okay to continue. Barboza goes right to the inside leg kick. Jabs. Hooker firing jabs too. Hooker pressing forward but his knee is messed up. Hooker scoops a single and moves Barboza to the fence. Barboza spins away and lands a devastating body kick. Hooker is doubled over in pain. Four more body kicks. My god. Hooker fires back somehow! Barboza misss with a wheel kick. Body kick from Barboza. Two big kneees. Elbow. Hooker still punching back. Another body shot, finally, mercifully, puts Hooker down. It’s over.

Rob Font vs. Sergio Pettis

Round 1 - Font throwing out a bunch of jabs off the start. Few leg kicks. Pettis trying to establish his own jab. Font digs to the body, then lands a multi-punch combo up top. Good jab from Pettis. Font’s jab is landing nearly every time. Pettis with a nice right. Pettis with more jabs. Font with more body work. Font with a takedown. Font passes to half for a little bit, but Pettis regains full guard. Font stands up out of guard and drops a big shot. And again. Now to the body. Pettis gets up and tries to spin as Font lands a high kick. Easy 10-9 Font.

Round 2 - Pettis with a body kick, but eats a jab. Font backs Pettis up and lands to the body and head. He looks for a takedown. Pettis fights it off. Three jabs in a row land for Font. Head kick from Pettis. More jabs. Pettis’ head is snapping back on every one. Font goes back to the body. They’re both starting to throw more kicks. They trade in the center. Front kick and a right over the top from Pettis. Font continuing to land a ton of punches. Font with a body lock but Pettis ends up on top. Scramble. Font looking for a kimura. He uses it to sweep and almost secured the straight armbar. 10-9 Font.

Round 3 - Font looks for a body lock but can’t secure it. Jabs galore from Font. Pettis with a right hook. Font just misses with an uppercut. Leg kicks from both. Pettis spins and lands two more rights. Pettis loses his mouthpiece and Font gets a takedown. The ref briefly pauses the action to put it back in. Font sits up and lands a few punches. He takes the back, but has no hooks. Pettis still can’t escape though. They eventually settle in Pettis’ full guard. They battle to the horn. 10-9 and 30-27 Font.

Rob Font defeated Sergio Pettis via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Charles Oliveira vs. Jim Miller

Round 1 - Miller misses with a kick and Oliveira gets a body lock. He throws Miller to the mat and takes his back. He’s immediately looking for a choke. He secures it. Miller can’t hand fight. It’s over. Wow.

Zak Ottow vs. Dwight Grant

Round 1 - Head kick from Ottow is blocked. Grant flurries after an Ottow leg kick. A lot of feinting. Ottow with a right but Grant is all over him with strikes. Ottow goes to his back but Grant won’t join him on the ground. Head kick again from Ottow. Not much happening at all. Ottow has the center but he’s not throwing anything. Neither is Grant though. Grant with a leg kick. He lands a late right. 10-9 Grant.

Round 2 - Grant waiting on the counter. Ottow just throwing one kick at a time. Grant presses but Ottow threatens a takedown and they reset. Ottow spins and misses. Grant with a two-punch combo. Finally. Front kick and a head kick from Ottow. Left connects for Ottow. Grant connects but Ottow just rolls away. They clinch a bit. Grant with a straight right. He lands another right. That’s honestly enough for him to win the round. 10-9 Grant.

Round 3 - Grant pressing forward a bit early. He lands a knee to the body and opens up. Ottow battles back and ends up in top position. He didn’t really take him down, it was more of a slip. Ottow grinds away on top, but isn’t really landing anything. Grant gets back to his feet with three minutes to go. He almost gets dragged back down but grabs the fence. As usual, there’s no punishment. They battle in the clinch. Ottow with a right on the break. Grant sits down on a right hook. Head kick from Ottow. Grant fights off a series of takedown attmpts but Ottow holds him against the fence. They separate with 40 seconds to go.Grant with a counter and a shovel hook. Combo from Grant. Ottow shoots in. Nothing. 10-9 and 30-27 Grant.

Bobby Green vs. Drakkar Klose

Round 1 - They both miss with combos early. They trade leg kicks. Klose threatens a takedown. Green closes the distance and ties him up against the fence briefly. Now Klose is clinching. Green is complaining to the ref about glove grabbing. The ref separates them due to the infraction. Klose with some low kicks. Green with a right hook. Green with a flying knee. He got caught, but ended up on Klose’s back and threatened a no-hooks choke. Klose shook him off. They trade low kicks. Klose spins and misses. Klose pushes him against the fence. Green spins away. 10-9 Klose.

Round 2 - Klose switching stances a bunch. Green with a jab. Low shot from Klose. Green doesn’t need much time. Green gets a body lock takedown into side control. Klose manages to get it back to half. Green pressuring. He’s looking for an arm triangle but it’s against the cage. He jumps to mount. Setting it up again. Klose scoots away and back to his feet with two minutes to go. Klose with a right hook. Now a left hook. Klose looks for a flying submission but Green ends up on top. Klose trying to control his arm. Green rides out the round. 10-9 Green.

Round 3 - Leg kick from Klose. Uppercut from Green. Klose just bullrushes Green and knocks him down. He’s up and Klose cracks him with a right hook. Counter from Green. Now Green wants to wrestle. They separate. Front kicks and oblique kicks from Green. Klose throwing big shots and missing. A lot of feinting too. Now a right hook does land for Klose! Green with his own right. Some misses from both men. Klose has a cut in the hairline, could have been from a clash of heads. Two rights from Klose, Green with a counter right. Green with a jab. Knee to the body from Klose. Green looks for a takedown. Can’t get it. Klose with two more right hooks and a knee to the body. Green with knees in the clinch. Outside leg kick wobbles Green. Green wobbles Klose with a straight right. They throw to the horn. 10-9 and 29-28 Klose, but this could go either way.

Jared Gordon vs. Joaquim Silva

Round 1 - Front kick to the face from Gordon. They trade kicks. Silva misses with a wild left. Lots of kicks from both men. Silva lands a right. Gordon with a hard right and actually caught Silva in an arm-triangle as he took him to the mat. He gives it up but works from Silva’s back. Blatant cage grab from Silva to get back up. Knee from Gordon. Silva presses forward but Gordon hurts him again! He lands two more shots and takes Silva to the floor. Gordon with a few punches from half guard. Silva’ cauliflower ear is bleeding. Gordon with a hard right. Silva manages to get back up with a minute to go. Gordon with a leg kick. Hard overhand right for Silva hurts Gordon! Big knee! Gordon going for the desperation takedown. Silva looks for a guillotine. The round ends. Wow. 10-9 Gordon.

Round 2 - They trade hard shots right away. Silva stuffs a takedown attempt. And another. Uppercut scores for Silva. Gordon ducks under and looks for another takedown. Gordon ends up on his back with Silva in a seated position. He puts Silva flat on his back for a little while, but Silva quickly scrambles back to his knees, then up. Leg kick from Gordon. Nice combo from Gordon ending with a head kick. Silva with a big knee. Gordon can’t get a takedown. Gordon with a counter straight right. They trade kicks once again. And jabs. Silva looks for a takedown ow, and gets it. Silva takes his back with one hook. Gordon can’t dump him off. He cranks on a leg stretch but the horn goes. 10-9 Silva.

Round 3 - Silva off to a quick start. Gordon lands a solid right hook though. Left hook from Silva and a hard leg kick. Body shot. Gordon lands a short elbow. They’re trading! This is fun! Silva digging to the body. Silva putting together shots well. Three straight knees to the body. Silva with three jabs and a left hook. He’s ripping the body hard. Right hook and Gordon is on dream street! One more shot and the ref jumps in. Gordon was still on his feet but he was not there. Holy hell that was awesome.

Gerald Meerschaert vs. Jack Hermansson

Round 1 - Meerschaert catches a kick. Hermansson gets it away, gets a body lock, and puts GM3 on the mat. Hermansson controlling position. Meerschaert almost escapes but gets put back down and mounted. He gives up his back and eats a bunch of punches. Hermansson in full control. Massive elbow and Meerschaert is covering up. Meerschaert gets to his knees and he’s almost out - then goes for a guilotine and ends right back on his his back. Hermansson back on top, then rolls for a arm-in guillotine choke. He’s got it, and Meerschaert taps.

Trevor Smith vs. Zak Cummings

Round 1 - Smith with a hard straight right a few seconds in. Cummings with a slapping outside leg kick. Another. Head kick from Cummings. Smith with a body kick. They trade rights. Cummings catches a body kick but can’t do anything with it. Winging left from Smith. Counter left scores too. They both land in an exchange. Head kick from Cummings connects again. He feints and then lands a right hook. Inside leg kick from Cummings. Wide left hook from Smith, and he lands his own inside leg kick. Both men are cut. Smith with a knee as Cummings looks for a takedown. They end up in the clinch. Few knees from Smith. 10-9 Smith.

Round 2 - Outside leg kick from Cummings. Smith responds. Hard left hook from Cummings. Body shot from Smith, but he left himself wide open for a counter. Cummings with a leg kick, Smith lands an awkward right. Big counter left from Cummings. Smith responds. Body kick from Smith. Two more exchanges. Cummings with a nice delayed straight left. Lead left now. Clash of heads. Lazy body kick from Cummings and Smith cracks him with a counter left hook. Cummings with a leg kick and he dives in on a double. He doesn’t get anywhere though. Smith with a hard counter left of his own. 10-9 Cummings.

Round 3 - Low leg kick from Cummings. Smith with two lefts. Straight left and inside leg kick from Cummings. Cummings catches an off-balance Smith with a left hook behind the ear and he goes down. Cummings jumps on him but Smith immediately reverses position. He’s working from half guard with a steady stream of punches. Cummings gives up his back and gets up halfway through the round. Smith still has a body lock, but Cummings breaks it and spins him around. Cummings backs off a bit and they both land big shots. Body kick from Cummings. Smith drops for a guillotine against the cage. Cummings escapes. Smith turtles, but Cummings slips off trying to sink a hook and Smith ends up on top. They’re back up with a minute to go but Cummings wants it back on the ground. He gradually gets Smith to his knees. He lands a knee to the body. Smith back up. He misses with a left. He lands a knee at the horn. 10-9 and 29-28 Cummings.

Dan Ige vs. Jordan Griffin

Round 1 - Looks like they clashed heads immediately. Slow start otherwise. They both miss with lefts. Griffin wades in and eats a counter. Ige catches him with two shots. Griffin gets a takedown, but Ige’s the one that ends up on top. He’s on his back against the cage, attacking a choke. Griffin is cut. Ige sinks hooks. He’s up high, landing big shots. Mount. Ige with hard elbows. Griffin squirms out the back. He immediately looks for a guillotine. Ige fights hard and ends up on top again. Into mount. Ige is looking for an arm-triangle immediately. Great action there. Ige goes back to landing big shots from mount. Body shots. Again he gets up too high as Griffin gives up his back. Ige manages to stay on top this time though. Griffin gets up to one knee but ate a bunch of punches. He’s back up, and chucking leather immediately. They both land big shots! Great round! 10-9 Ige.

Round 2 - Inside leg kick from Ige. Griffin with a left hook. Ige with a power double takedown. Griffin almost got back to his feet but Ige stayed on him. Griffin did manage to spin out again. He somehow secures a choke while getting on his back! No hooks though and Ige shakes him off. Griffin ends up in Ige’s full guard. Ige hunting for a sub from the bottom. Griffin stands out and starts dropping big punches. Ige with upkicks. Griffins wisely decides to re-enter his guard. For a little while. He steps out and lands a big shot. Ige is defending well with his legs. Another left gets through though. Ige attacks a leg! Griffin easily avoids it though and takes Ige’s back with some more punches. Back to guard. 10-9 Griffin.

Round 3 - Inside leg kick from Ige. Griffin looks for a takedown but Ige stuffs him. They grapple against the fence. Ige with hard body shots, and they separate. Head kick from Griffin is blocked. Ige with a two-punch combo. He goes for his own takedown, and gets it with 2:50 to go. Griffin tries to get up but Ige grabs his ankle to immobilize him. Griffin perseveres though, and he’s up with 1:50 to go. They both land big shots. Ige looks for another takedown but they end up in a strange position where neither man has an advantage. Ige steps through and takes the top, but Griffin immediately tries to power to his feet. Knee from Griffin. Ige deftly rolls though and takes Griffin’s back. Griffin comes out the back and throws punches on Ige to the horn. 10-9 and 29-28 Ige.

Adam Milstead vs. Mike Rodriguez

Round 1 - Body kick from Rodriguez. They trade big shots immediately. Short left from Rodriguez drops Milstead. Rodriguez jumps into his guard, but can’t open up with big shots right way. He does land an elbow. Milstead almost sweeps but the cage wall stops it. Milstead ges up after about a minute. Rodriguez with a hard inside leg kick and puts together a conbo. They engage in close against the fence. Rodriguez with a front kick as they separate. He lands a hard knee to the liver and Milstead is hurt. Rodriguez is all over him with punches on the ground and the ref steps in.

Juan Adams vs. Chris de la Rocha

Round 1 - De La Rocha paws with the jab. He wades in with a wide right hook. Adams with a leg kick and he pressures with some punches. Good left. De La Rocha is cut already. Adams using his owns jab. Inside leg kick. De La Rocha with an outside leg kick. Adams puts together a combo. Adams counters and then gets a takedown. He’s dropping some elbows in half guard. De La Rocha’s head is bouncing off the floor. Adams moves to side control. De La Rocha gets up to his knees but is dragged back down. Full guard now. He tries to use a leg sweep. He’s attacking a heel hook. Adams stands up. De La Rocha is persisting but eating punches to the grill. De La Rocha finally gets up just before the horn. 10-9 Adams.

Round 2 - De La Rocha with a nice left. Adams flurries and they get into a wrestling match. De La Rocha puts him against the cage. Lots of in-fighting. Uppercut from De La Rocha. Both men are already tired. Back to the clinch. Adams with a few hard body shots. The ref separates them fairly quickly. De La Rocha with a body shot and a left. Both men are standing there with their hands down. Another left from De La Rocha. Adams with a right. De La Rocha puts together a few punches. Adams connects with a few and drags him to the mat. Adams works from half. The ground and pound gets more intense. De La Rocha’s face is busted up. 10-9 Adams.

Round 3 - Nothing happening early. Body kick from Adams. Big kneee and Adams flurries with punches. The ref steps in and it’s mercifully over.
