A welterweight fight between Andrey Koreshkov and Lorenz Larkin will headline a Bellator event at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California in March.
Bellator announced the fight on Thursday. Tickets for the event go on sale Friday, December 14th. The card will broadcast live on Paramount Network and DAZN.com, with the preliminary bouts streaming on the promotion’s website.
Koreshkov (21-3) last fought in September when he lost his trilogy fight with Douglas Lima by fifth-round submission, thus being eliminated from the welterweight Grand Prix. Before that loss, “The Spartan” picked up consecutive first-round knockout victories against Vaso Bakocevic and Chidi Njokuani.
Since joining Bellator in March of last year, Larkin (20-7, 1NC) has both won and lost two fights. After dropping consecutive defeats to Lima and Paul Daley, Larkin bounced back well by defeating Fernando Gonzalez and Ion Pascu by unanimous decision. The win over Pascu makes him the official alternate should something happen to any of the current Grand Prix competitors.
No other fights have been announced for the card, which takes place on March 29th.
