UFC 229 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in Vegas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
This time things lead off with Conor McGregor. He gets a look at his gloves the gear he’ll wear in the Octagon. He signs some posters, they gets the cage to drill the basics. Dillon Danis believes that he’s a good training partner to prepare for Khabib Nurmagomedov because he has better submissions and attacks more, but has a similar game overall. Basically, he’s a better version of Khabib. Lol.
McGregor talks about his cardio work as well. He then jokes around about locking the Embedded crew out of his car.
Tony Ferguson gets in some sort of healing chamber? Late on Tuesday, Anthony Pettis waits to fly to Vegas. He talks about a bike ride with his brother Sergio. Felice Herrig makes her first appearance, talking about opponent Michelle Waterson and trying on her gear.
Derrick Lewis shows up as well, signs some stuff, and gets his equipment. Alexander Volkov does a light workout and talks about the crowd support Lewis will have. Khabib does a photoshoot and says he’s keeping his belt. A jeweler gives Khabib and Conor some...well, jewelry. Fans can buy them too.
In the best part of the whole series so far, the episode ends with Waterson holding up gigantic McGregor and Khabib heads in front of her and doing great impressions of both.
And that’s it! UFC 229 goes down this Saturday night in Las Vegas.
