The UFC is returning to Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, December 8th, and we will see two title fights on the line at the Scotiabank Arena. Featherweight champion Max Holloway defends his belt against undefeated rising star Brian Ortega in the main event, while former women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk competes for flyweight gold against Valentina Shevchenko.
Of note on the rest of UFC 231 is a rescheduled light heavyweight scrap between Thiago Santos and Jimi Manuwa, as well as Katlyn Chookagian and Jessica Eye, which serves as a “backup plan” for the women’s flyweight title fight competitors. Chad Mendes and Renato Moicano are targeted for this event to serve the same purpose for the featherweight title bout, but UFC officials have not publicly announced the matchup as a done deal.
Here’s what is on tap for UFC 231, noting that a bout order has not been set.
