Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotion’s first foray into MMA will feature two UFC hall-of-famers in a trilogy that not many outside of that trio actually wanted. 43-year-old Tito Ortiz and 48-year-old Chuck Liddell will both come out of retirement and face off more than 14 years since they first fought.

Ortiz is 0-2 against Liddell, dropping both by TKO, but he will be the younger and more active fighter. Liddell hasn’t competed since being knocked out by Rich Franklin eight years ago, and has not having notched a victory in over a decade.

The company has released the full fight card for the November 18 event. There are a few UFC veterans involved, but like most boxing cards, it’s a very top-heavy line up in terms of name value.

According to Ortiz, he will have a generous cut of the pay-per-view, with De La Hoya getting 40%, and him and Liddell each getting 30% of the revenue. That’s a high percentage, especially compared to how the UFC does business, and more fighters would certainly benefit if the top MMA promoters followed suit.

The question remains though, how many people would actually pay $49.99 for this bout and this line up?
