Video: Tattoo artists react to ‘old school’ MMA/UFC tattoos

New, comments

In the final video in this mini-series, the Imperial Tattoo guys check out some notorious body art from 90s/00s MMA.

Ronan Gibney, Shannon Hayward, and Evan Mackinnon of Imperial Tattoo in Toronto, Ontario are back for the final installment of our mini-series on UFC/MMA tattoos. This time they are looking at some ink belonging to fighters who made their names in the 1990s and 2000s.

Watch the video above to see what these experts think of the body art that is festooned on Chuck Liddell, Alan Belcher, Renato Sobral, and Joe Riggs. And let us know what you think of these tattoos in the comments below.

We would love to have critiqued a number of other tattoos on legendary/infamous fighters (like Kimo Leopoldo and Paulo Filho), but we were limited to what fighter images we have a license to publish. But there’s no limit on y’all, so please let us know in the comments below what you think are the best and worst ‘old school’ MMA tattoos in the sport.

Please give this video a thumbs up and, if you haven’t already, subscribe to MMANationDotCom to ensure you don’t miss any of our other videos; whether it’s things like this or new episodes from series like Heavy Hands , The MMA Depressed-Us, or If I Did It.

If you haven’t seen the other videos in this series you can check them out in the Story Stream below.
